Like a whole new spa
On 8 May, Varbergs Kusthotell opened the first phase of its new spa. Welcome to two fantastic new spa floors, renovated in harmony with the architecture and history of the building. The original ceiling heights and generous rooms have been restored, allowing daylight to flow through the large windows and into the spaces beyond.

On the newly renovated second and third floors, you’ll find a tea room, a sun lounge with orangery, seaweed sauna, lounge with fireplace and refreshments, toiletry room, low-temperature sauna with relaxing stone benches, footbath room and much more. Just outside are three new heated outdoor pools – and the sea, of course.

A place where a rich history meets a new era – and where you’ll want to linger a little longer.

 

The sea on the grill
Restaurant Severins has also been completely renovated. Severins is now a fish and seafood restaurant where flavours from the grill take centre stage, accompanied by great side dishes. Every evening, we fire up the charcoal grill and bring in the best from the coast and sea.

The menu features familiar favourites alongside new dishes to discover. Severins serves our generous breakfast every morning, lunch throughout the day and an evening menu. Vegetarian options are available.

 

The Coastal Retreat Package
With our Coastal Retreat package, you check in at 14:30 and head straight to the spa. Spend the afternoon exploring Varbergs Kusthotell’s newly renovated spa floors and new outdoor pools. And don’t forget an evening dip from the jetty.

After a few relaxing hours, the stay continues with our evening menu at the newly renovated grill restaurant Severins. Spend the night at the hotel and finish with breakfast in the dining rooms. The following morning, the cold bath house is open for a sauna and a dip in the sea from the jetty just outside.

 

 

SPA AT VARBERGS KUSTHOTELL
Move freely between three floors of spa experiences, with the second and third floors completely renovated in spring 2026. Take a refreshing dip in the sea, then warm up in one of our saunas or in the new heated outdoor pools in the spa garden.

 

The minimum age for the spa at Varbergs Kusthotell is 13.

 

STANDARD, SUPERIOR OR TRIPLE?
The historic stone buildings at Varbergs Kusthotell are home to a wide variety of rooms, most of them completely unique. Choose between Standard, Double and Superior rooms, with or without sea views. We also have family and triple rooms for those travelling with children.
